Starttech Ventures proudly hosts two lectures of Mr. Georgios Georgakopoulos, Professor of Computer Science at the University of Crete in June, on Tuesday June 4th and Tuesday June 11th respectively
In recent years we have witnessed successive leaps in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). These developments have created a sense of dramatic impending changes in ‘everything,’ and among these, concerns about upcoming disruptions in the job market have arisen. The lecture focuses on (a) how disruptive AI will be able to continue to be, and (b) with what methodological framework one can calmly examine the impending impact it will have on the workplace. The perspective explained is that the problems AI needs to overcome are far more numerous than they appear, and that its current state is much less powerful than we think.
